My parent has an iPhone — will this work?
No. CareBridge is Android-only. The app relies on background services that iOS doesn't permit for this use case, so there's no iOS version.
Does it track GPS or location?
No. Never. We never request the location permission. We don't know where your parent's phone is — only whether the screen was unlocked recently, and whether the phone has checked in.
What if the phone dies or loses signal?
The phone sends a heartbeat every 15 minutes. If our server goes 60 minutes without one, you get a 'device offline' notification. That's a different alert from 'no activity' — so you can tell a dead battery apart from a fall.
Will it wake me up in the middle of the night?
No. There's a configurable sleep window during which the silence threshold is suspended.
Is it really one-time setup?
Yes. You activate it once on their phone. After that they never open, update, or interact with it. Android handles background updates from Google Play.
How many people can receive alerts?
Up to 4 trusted contacts. Each gets the alert by email.
Does this replace 911 / emergency services?
No. CareBridge is not a medical device, does not call emergency services, and does not detect falls. It tells you earlier that something may be worth checking on. Always call your local emergency number in a real emergency.
How do I cancel?
You can stop your subscription anytime from the dashboard, or fully delete your account from Settings — both take one click, no phone calls or emails.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Everything — activity logs, account info, contact list — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Nothing is kept for "analytics."
